Garland Street Garage Fire

At 11:52 on March 19th, 2019 Arvada Fire Protection District responded to a possible structure on fire in the 4200 block of Garland St. in Wheat Ridge. Wheat Ridge Police officers arrived to smoke showing, and requested medical for injured party. Engine 52 arrived to a single-story residential with a detached garage with smoke showing, pulled a 1 3/4 line in for fire attack in the offensive strategy. Engine 51 arrived and established a water supply, and Medic 51 set-up as medical. Battalion 51 arrived and assigned Engine 51 to pull a dry line in. Engine 52 advised command that they found fire in the ceiling above the garage, and had a residential area above the garage. Truck 56 assigned to search the living space, which was all-clear. Crews were able to get a quick knock on the fire and the cause is unknown.
