Arvada Apartment Fire

At 22:46 on February 7nd, 2017 Arvada Fire Protection District responded to a reported structure fire at 10950 W. 64th Place; dispatch advised that a deck was on fire. Truck 56 arrived to 3-story multi-family apartment complex with fire showing from the exterior balconies of the second and a third floor and spit crews. Medic 56 set-up as medical, Battalion 51 arrived, assumed command, and requested an additional medic to the scene for transport. Crews were able to rescue multiple pets and one patient was transported to a local hospital. The fire was placed under control at 23:18 with extensive overhaul needed. The American Red Cross was called to assist the displaced residents and the fire is under investigation.
