At 03:02 on March 19th, 2017 West Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a possible structure fire at 3125 Braun Ct. First due Engine 5 found a small 2-story split level ranch residence with a working fire in the basement. Engine 5 declared an offensive strategy with Alpha side accountability and fast attack, advancing a 1 ¾ line through the front door with Medic 5. Engine 17 arrived and established a water supply at 32nd Ave & Braun, then pulled a back-up line to the first floor. District 1 assumed command on the Alpha Bravo corner; assigning Engine 2 as RIT, Tower 2 to assist with searches, Tower 8 to ventilation and Medic 6 as EMS. Companies worked for 52 minutes before the fire was placed under control. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.
