Wray Volunteer Fire Department 100th Anniversary
Wray 100th Anniversary
The Wray Volunteer Fire Department celebrated their 100th Anniversary with a King of the Grill Barbeque Competition and open house on March 25th, 2017. Hundreds of community members came to enjoy barbeque, meet with firefighters and help raise funds for the department. Seventeen entries participated in the inaugural BBQ competition. Congratulations to Sam and Katie George for taking first place in pork, Otis Fire Chief Trent Alexander and Merino Firefighter Drew Spielman for taking first place in brisket and Mike Eggeson for taking King of the Grill. The proceeds will help the department purchase new equipment and make repairs.
