Arvada 62nd Place Fire

Just before noon on June 28th, 2018 Arvada Fire Protection District responded to a possible structure fire in the 8600 block of W. 62nd Place and Dover St. Medic 51 arrived to a 2-plex single story with smoke showing, Engine 51 stretched a line in for fire attack in the offensive strategy and established a water supply. Rescue 54 arrived and started primary search, which proved an all-clear with no extension to the attic. Battalion 51 arrived and assumed command, Medic 51 transported one to a local hospital, and Command requested additional medic to the scene for decon. Crews quickly extinguish the fire under one of the hottest days of the year on record which hit 105 degrees. No other injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
