Arvada Attic Fire

At 22:49 on July 3rd, 2018 Arvada Fire Protection District responded to a possible residential structure fire in the 6700 block of Ames St. Engine 55 arrived to a two-story family residential structure with a working attic fire, establishing a water supply and stretching a 1 3/4 line in for fire attack and search in the offensive strategy. Battalion 51 and Battalion 52 arrived on scene, Rescue 54 assigned to pull a second line off Engine 55 and Engine 51 assigned utilities. Rescue 54 accessed the eve on the Delta side, and crews were able to get a quick knock on the fire and put  the fire under control and out at 23:10, and crews worked on an extender overhaul. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.
