Recycling Center Fire

At 12:32 on November 27th, 2018 Denver Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 4920 N. Washington St. on a large recycling fire at the Scrap Metal Recycling Center, with multiple calls. Heavy black smoke was seen all the Denver metro area. Tower 9 arrived with heavy fire, and Engine 9 secured a water supply. Chief 2 arrived and assumed command with heavy fire showing on the Charlie side of the structure. Crews worked the fire into the evening with hot spots. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.
