Trash Truck Load Fire

At 08:45 on September 10th, 2018 Denver Fire Department responded to a reported trash truck on fire at E. 12th Ave. & Clarkson St. The city trash truck with the load on fire in the rear was emitting smoke and flames, and was originally heading west on Colfax Ave. near Ogden St. The driver was looking for a parking lot to stop and dump the load and headed south on Clarkson St. then turned east of 12th Ave. where he stopped. The driver dumped part of the load, pulled forward and dumped the rest about 15’ from the first. Denver Police Department was request to shut down the street.
