Grand Junction Rollover

At 17:57 on November 7th, 2018 Grand Junction Regional Communication Center dispatched Grand Junction Fire Department to a two car MVA with a rollover in front of the Denny’s on Horizon Drive(710 Horizon Drive). Grand Junction Police Department arrived on scene and requested units to continue code 3. Engine 2 went en route and asked for Ambulance 2 to be added for the number of patients. Engine 2 arrived on scene to a pick up in the northbound lanes with heavy front end damage and an SUV on its side in the parking lot of the Denny’s and continued units Code 3. Upon investigation Engine 2 found three occupants still in the SUV on its side and set up for stabilization of the vehicle. Medic 1 arrived on scene and staged West. Battalion 1 arrived and staged for direct visual on all operations in the parking lot. Rescue 1 staged in the parking lot for operations on the rolled vehicle. Medic 1 was assigned Medical Group with supervision over Ambulance 2, Ambulance 6, and Ambulance 3. Battalion 1 assumed command, Rescue 1 and Engine 2 were assigned Operations Group for extrication. All patients on scene were determined to be stable and were transported to local trauma centers for further evaluation. All operations were assigned to TAC 1.

Rollover Assignment: Battalion 1, Medic 1, Rescue 1, Engine 2, Ambulance 3, Ambulance 2 & Ambulance 6
