At approximately 22:45 on September 25th, 2018 Loveland Fire Rescue Authority was dispatched from the Loveland Emergency Communications Center (LECC) to a haystack fire in the 700 block of South Larimer County Rd. 9E. Upon arrival Battalion 1 took command and reported a stack of approximately 50 round bales on fire, and since the fire wasn’t in the field, the response from station 1 was cancelled. Command then requested Water Tender 5 due to the distance to the nearest hydrant. The property owner was notified of the fire and asked to respond with a loader to break down the stack. Engine 3 and Water Tender 3 were requested at approximately 02:40 to respond to relieve the station 6 crews. Crews were still on scene at 05:30 on the September 26th. Loveland Police Department shut down road 9E north and south of the incident. Additional information was provided by Loveland Fire Rescue Authority

Dispatch: Battalion 1, Engine 1, Engine 6, Tower 6, Engine 61 & Engine 66

Additional: Water Tender 5, Engine 3, and Water Tender 5
