Arvada Fire Protection District held their annual Safety Fair at the Training Center on September 28th, 2019. The community of all ages came out to enjoy lots of activities and fun including tours of the fire equipment, meeting firefighters and first responders, Children’s Hospital Colorado medical helicopter landing, low-cost immunizations, Cheezo with internet and cell phone safety, and the fire truck pull, supported from the Special Olympics. Prizes were award to kids who were able to visit the different booths. Others that participated in the event were Friends of Arvada Fire, Arvada Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff, Wheat Ridge Police Department, RTD, SCL Health, Cert Emergency Prep, St. Anthony Hospital, American Red Cross and others were on hand with interactive booths and information about safety and emergency preparedness.
