Arvada House Fire

At 09:43 on October 13th, 2019 Arvada Fire Protection District was alerted to a structure fire in the 6800 block of Xenon St. in Ralston Valley area. Tower 56 reported smoke showing from W. 64th Ave. & Ward Rd. Dispatch advised units enroute that 911 caller reporting fire on the back deck and spreading inside the home, and 2 family dogs uncounted for. Tower 56 arrived to a small two-story single-family residential with a working fire on the Charlie side, and pulled a line in for fire attack. Battalion 52 arrived and assumed command with heavy fire on the Delta-Charlie corner in the offensive strategy. Engine 51 arrived and made entry for search rescue and fire control. Engine 53 arrived and assigned to pull a 2nd line in from Tower 56 to the Charlie-Delta corner, and a 3rd line to the Charlie side for fire control. Medic 52 arrived and set-up as medical rehab. Tower 56 rescued one dog, and Engine 51 found the 2nd dog, both were treated on scene by Medic 52. Command requested for the ghost engine to the scene, and Engine 57 arrived and went on deck. Tower 56 assigned to start roof ops and check for extension. Crews got the fire out at 10:15 and started overhaul. No injuries reported and investigators believe the fire was caused by an electrical fire. No injuries were reported. Additional information provided by Arvada Fire Protection District
