Recruit Academy Graduation

Aurora Fire Rescue Recruit Academy Class 2019-01 held their graduation on April 26th, 2019 at the Aurora Municipal Building. The ceremony began with the presentation of colors by the Aurora Fire Rescue Honor Guard and bagpipes by Wes Simonson. The invocation by Chaplain David Wurst followed with guest speakers Aurora Mayor Bob LeGare and City Manager Jim Twombly, followed by Fire Chief Fernando Gray. The ceremony of the certificates and badge pinning ceremony for all 31 academy graduates with family, friends and the Aurora Fire executive staff, followed by the induction by oath by the honorable Don Jesse Toussaint, presiding Judge of Arapahoe County Courts. The helmet retirement with the training staff and closing with Captain Thomas Johnson.
