The Catbob Fire

At approximately 15:39 on July 14th, 2019 Loveland Fire Rescue Authority (LFRA) was dispatched by Loveland Emergency Communications Center (LECC) to a Grass / Wildland Fire in the 10000 block of Bobcat Ridge Road on the Bobcat Ridge Natural Area property in unincorporated Larimer County. Rangers on scene coordinated with fire crews on the location and best access to the fire which was in rough terrain accessible only by foot and side by side off highway vehicles. Additional resources were requested because of the terrain to include one of the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention & Control Multi-Mission Aircraft (MMA). The MMA orbited over the fire area for approximately 45 minutes gathering data about the fire and checked surrounding areas for additional fires. Approximately 50 firefighters worked well into the evening to contain the fire, and the fire was named The Catbob Fire.
