Denver Fire Department opened the new Station 39 9150 E. 50th Ave. on May 31st, 2019 in Northfield with a Grand Opening Ceremony. Guest speakers included Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, Executive Director of Safety Troy Riggs, Denver Fire Chief Eric Tade, Councilman Chris Herndon, District 8 Representatives from Denver Public Schools & Representatives from Denver Urban Renewal Authority.  This $9.4 million project that was funded through a five-party finance agreement among the City and County of Denver, Forest City Stapleton, Denver Public Schools, Denver Urban Renewal Authority, and Park Creek Metropolitan District, along with the Denver Department of Public Safety. Engine 39 will be running out of this station only at this time.
