Grand Junction Attic Fire
At 14:42 on October 8th, 2019 Grand Junction Fire Department was dispatched by Grand Junction Regional Communication Center to a structure fire in the 1400 block of Pinyon Ave. Company 2 was first in at 14:46 and reported a working fire on the Charlie side of the structure with heavy fire. Engine 2 faced issues with a 360 assessment due to downed power lines on the Charlie Side. Engine 3 arrived an brought the plug in while Engine 2 went for fire attack. The fire was held to the rear of the structure in the back bedroom. Amount of extension throughout the rest of the house was unknown. The fire is under investigation by the GJFD and the GJPD. One person was transported and the American Red Cross was requested to assist.
