At 03:21 on September 11th, 2019, MetCom received a single 911 call reporting the back of a house on fire on Astoria Court in Lone Tree.  When units from South Metro Fire Rescue Firehouse 34 entered, they encountered heavy smoke conditions and observed glowing windows on the Charlie side of a small 2-story house.  District Chief 1 assumed command in the offensive strategy, assigning Engine 17 to fire attack and Tower 34 to primary search.  Tower 34 forced entry through the alpha side front door and met the homeowner who was unaware of the fire, woke their children and safely evacuated outside.  Med 1 assisted Command and Safety 18 was assigned as the incident safety officer.  Engine 17 quickly controlled a hot tub fire within an enclosed patio and prevented extension inside the residence.  The primary search was clear, and Engine 44 was assigned to a secondary search, which was also clear.  No injuries occurred, additional companies were released, and the cause is under investigation. Additional information provided by South Metro Fire Rescue.
