Fire Training Academy Weeks 1 & 2

On July 29th, 2019 the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority welcomed eighteen new firefighter recruits to the department at the LFRA training grounds. The new firefighters come to LFRA with previous firefighting experience and basic firefighter certifications. The first week of their ten-week academy included orientations and issuing of uniforms and equipment. During the second week training included building construction, automatic fire sprinkler systems and fire alarm systems. In addition to classroom instruction, they also did site visits to see buildings under construction and fire-protection systems being installed in the LFRA jurisdiction. The recruits visited two single-family homes, a multi-family dwelling project and a warehouse distribution facility.
