At 13:09 on March 11th, 2019 Loveland Emergency Communications Center (LECC) dispatched out Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Berthoud Fire Protection District & Thompson Valley EMS to a water rescue at the Lon Hagler Reservoir on W. County Rd. 16 in unincorporated Larimer County. Engine 3 arrived on scene and crews found a party in the water with a capsized boat, the victim had made it to the base of the dam which was difficult to access. Berthoud’s dive boat was used to retrieve the victim and move him to the waiting ambulance near the boat ramp, and rescue crews also retrieved the patients boat to the shore. The patient was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. Additional information was provided by Loveland Fire Rescue Authority
