On April 27th, 2019 at 09:30 Pueblo County Sheriff Emergency Services Bureau (ESB) was dispatched to I-25 northbound near MM 110 for a report of a Jeep with a possible engine compartment fire. Due to traffic concerns and possible fire spreading to the brush on the side of the road, mutual aid was requested from the Pueblo West Fire Department. Unit 3 arrived on scene and found the fire closer to MM 112. The Jeep was fully engulfed along with the camper trailer it was pulling. I-25 was shut down for a short time while crews extinguished the fire. The fire was knocked down and the trailer and vehicle were loaded up and the interstate was reopened.
