Ice Rescue Training

South Adams County Fire Department conducted Ice Rescue Refresher Training at the Valente Lake on E. 104th Ave. on January 15th, 2019. Rescue 24 and South Adams Paramedics were on site for all evolutions for equipment and personnel safety. Crews rotated through from 08:00 to approximately 15:00 hours. Crews conducted a variety of evolution’s allowing firefighters to take on the command role and allowing crews to certify as Ice Rescue Technicians and to various other levels. Crews used live victims and rescue mannequins for their evolution’s. There were 3 instructors on-site for the 3 days of training.
