Centennial Car vs House
At 05:40 on August 12th, 2019 South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a car vs. house accident at 7231 S. Franklin St. in Centennial. When crews arrived, they found a vehicle against the home and significant damage to one corner of the structure. The residents were home when the accident occurred and safely evacuated without injuries. Paramedics evaluated the driver of the car who was also uninjured. Although the natural gas meter was inches away from the damage, no leak occurred, and the meter was shut off as a precaution. The crew constructed a small brace to support the weight of the structure while the building department and insurance company take the next steps. Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the accident. Additional information provided by South Metro Fire Rescue.
