Vehicle Into Building

At 20:04 on March 8th, 2019 Weld County Regional Communications Center (WCRCC) dispatched Platteville-Gilcrest Fire Protection District to the report of a car into a building in the 700 block of Vasquez Blvd. in Platteville. Platteville-Gilcrest Battalion 1, Engine 3601, Engine 3602, and Banner Health Paramedic Services all responded to find an SUV almost completely inside a single-story restaurant. Command requested the Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District Special Operations Team to assist with shoring of the building, Frederick-Firestone Battalion 1 and Rescue 3452 responded to the scene. The vehicle was removed from the building by Superior Towing and the wall was shored up. No injuries were reported.
