At 09:50 on September 28th, 2019 Wellington Fire Protection District responded to a possible fire in a attic of a home located in area of County Rd. 15 & County Rd. 70. When crews arrived on scene, they noticed smoke coming from the roof on the west side of the home. All residents in the home were safely out when crews arrived on scene. Firefighters with Wellington Fire and Poudre Fire Authority were able to access the attic and extinguish the active part of the fire at about 10:09. Firefighters continued to work on hot spots, containing the fire to the attic of the home. Crews were able to put the fire out completely at about 11:05. There were no civilian injuries, and no structures lost. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by fire investigators with Wellington Fire.
