Westminster Commercial Fire

Around 09:30 on November 11th, 2019 Westminster Fire Department responded to a commercial structure fire in the 8877 Eaton St. at the Eaton Street Apartment in downtown Westminster. Engine 3 arrived to a 5-story multi-family structure and started investigation, and Battalion 1 arrived and assumed Eaton command on the Alpha side in the offensive strategy. Engine 1 arrived and assigned to hook in a dry line to the FDC, Medic 2 arrived with smoke showing from the 5th floor window on the Bravo side. Truck 2 arrived on the Alpha side with high-rise packs to the 5th floor. Command assigned Medic 3 to assist Engine 3 & Truck 2 on the 5th floor. Westminster Police officers evacuated the 5th floor, Engine 5 arrived on the Charlie-Delta corner, and Training 2 assigned safety on the 5th floor. Crews found a room & contents fire confined to the fire unit with a broken window. The fire is under investigation with no reported injuries.
