Westminster House Fire

On September 2nd, 2019 at approximately 12:20 Westminster Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the area of W. 76th Ave. and Knox St. Engine 1 arrived on scene to a single-story home with heavy smoke showing. Engine 1 established their own water supply and pulled an 1 3/4″ line for attack. Battalion 1 arrived on scene an assumed command. Engine 2 arrived on scene and pulled a second line off Engine 1 for fire attack on the Charlie side of the structure. Crews began to ventilate the attic to check for fire spread. After extinguishing all the hot spots, crews ventilated the building and started overhaul. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Temperatures during the fire operations were in the upper 90’s.
