Broomfield Briarwood Drive Structure Fire
North Metro Structure Fire
At 12:43 on February 29th, 2020 North Metro Fire Rescue District responded to a structure fire in the 13300 block of Briarwood Dr. in Broomfield. Broomfield Public Safety Communications Center advised units enroute that Broomfield Police officers on scene reporting flames in the back of the house. Engine 61 arrived to a two-story small residential with fire showing from the Charlie side and started fire attack in the offensive mode. Battalion 61 arrived and assumed command on the Alpha side and requested a major incident tone. Engine 65 arrived and assigned with primary search, and Engine 64 secured the water supply. Medic 66 pulled a 2nd line off Engine 61 to the Alpha side of the structure, and assisted with primary search. Truck 62 arrived and assigned as ventilation, and assisted Engine 61 on the Charlie side. Medic 61 assigned as medical, and crews rescued 3 dogs from the structure unharmed and assisted by animal control on scene. Crews advised primary search for all floors were clear and got the fire out quickly with crews starting overhaul. No injuries were reported and the fire cause is under investigation.
