Central City Fire Department Firefighter Cody and Shelby Allen memorial service was held on December 18th, 2020 at the Flatirons Community Church West in Genesee. A procession from the Aspen Mortuary in Arvada to the church was held before the funeral and after to the Gilpin County Fairgrounds. Both Cody and Shelby passed away from an accidental carbon monoxide poisoning in their home on December 11th, 2020, their dogs were also deceased by their sides. Cody was 29 years-old, and lieutenant with Central City Fire Department, and served as a volunteer since 2009. Shelby was 27 years-old, and also a volunteer firefighter at Central City Fire Department since 2016.
