Denver Hell Night

The Denver Fire Department held their annual Hell Night for the latest class of recruits “Class 2019-03” on January 14th, 2020 at the Denver Fire Training Center. The new recruits trained by responding to back to back mock scenarios through the day and late into the night including structure fires, car fires, car accidents, extractions, trapped victims, confined space rescues, and fire alarms. Also included were real world inconvenient calls like being dispatched to unfounded smoke odor investigations just as the crew sat down for a class prepared BBQ brisket dinner with all the fixings. The class graduated on January 17th, 2020 at the Graduation/Continuation Ceremony at the Metro State University Tivoli Turnhalle in downtown Denver.
