Grand Junction House Fire

At 22:24 on May 24th, 2020 Grand Junction Regional Communication Center dispatched Grand Junction Fire Department to a reported residential structure fire in the 200 block of E. Parkview Dr. Initial dispatch reports indicated that heavy flames and smoke was coming from the home and residents were attempting to put out the flames with a garden hose. The occupants were able to self-evacuate before crews arrived. Crews made a defensive attack ensuring that the blaze would not spread to nearby homes. The fire was out by 22:53. The home and a vehicle parked close to the structure suffered significant damage due to the fire. Several individuals from the residence were transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
