South Metro Condominium Fire

On May 31st, 2020 at 12:39 South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a condominium fire at 8438 Thunder Ridge Way in the Highlands Ranch Metro District. The 911 caller told dispatchers a fire extinguisher had been used and the fire was still spreading. When crews arrived, they confirmed that a fire was burning in a second-floor unit and that all residents were outside. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and verified that it didn’t spread to the attic or neighboring units. Several pets were reunited with their humans and no injuries occurred. The SMFR Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause. Additional information was provided by South Metro Fire Rescue
