Loveland House Fire

At approximately 15:13 on February 21st, 2020 Loveland Fire Rescue Authority was dispatched to the 2000 block of Dove Creek Court in Loveland on the report of a fire in a multi-family structure. Engine 42 arrived to a 2-story multi-family structure with smoke showing from the garage assumed command and conducted a 360. Engine 42 pulled a line and established their own water supply. Command reported working fire in the garage with possible extension to the interior requested next due pull a second line and for the first due truck to access the garage. Paramedic 311 arrived and was advised there was a patient at the tailboard of Engine 42. Engine 45 advised command that there may still be parties in the house. Battalion 41 arrived and took over command and declared the incident offensive life risk and requested Loveland Police respond to the scene emergent for traffic control. Engine 45 was assigned to breech the garage door and assist Engine 42 with fire attack. Rescue 42 and Engine 47 crews were assigned to make entry to the home via the front door. Tower 46 and Rescue 42 were made the support group. Paramedic 327 reported to command that there were 4 dogs in the home and command requested humane society respond to the scene. Engine 42 reported knock down of the fire. Rescue 42 reported a primary all clear and were working on gathering up all the pets. Paramedic 311 transported one patient to a local hospital. Engine 42 reported the fire under control and no extension into the living area. Loveland Water and Power secured the electric service and Xcel Energy secured the gas service to the home.
