Monarch Fire

On October 2nd, 2020 at 13:15 the Monarch Fire was reported in the Indian Peaks Wilderness area. Crews responded and found a small wildfire east of the Monarch Lake area. Air support was requested and was used until nightfall. The fire was contained in about an hour but crews were on scene with hot spots. The fire burned an estimated half an acre.
