Pueblo Fire Training Drill

Pueblo Fire Department was able to participate in a training drill at the Black Hills Energy plant on September 17th, 2020. Crews were called for a patient that had been injured higher up on one of the units and had to be extracted and then transported. Crews had to initiate patient care and then work together using ropes and other tools to do a technical rescue. One the patient was brought down the ladder of truck 51 patient care was taken over by American Medical Response crews. They then loaded the patient and transported them to a landing zone and helped load the patient into Flight For Life Lifeguard 4. The training involved crews from Engine 31, Engine 36, Truck 51, Squad 81, AMR Pueblo, Flight for Life, Black Hills employees, and off duty Pueblo Firefighters.
