On July 11th, 2020 around 11:00 Pueblo Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Sepulveda Dr. & Bandera Parkway on a reported residential structure fire. Dispatch gave units information on a fire reported in the garage that had not spread to the home. Engine 39 arrived on scene to find smoke showing from the garage and stretched a line. Engine 37 arrived shortly after and established a water supply to Engine 39 and took command. Engine 39 requested tools to the garage door from truck 51 to make access. Once the door was cut firefighters found a small working fire in the back of the garage. Using the cross lay from engine 39 the fire was stopped and extension was limited to the garage. Crews made the roof and went into the home to help check for extension. Units were on scene for about an hour before clearing to return to service. The outside temperature during the fire was just shy of 100 degrees which made staying hydrated and cool extremely important. Additional information provided by Code 4 Photography
