Westminster Attic Fire

At 16:05 on March 3rd, 2020 Westminster Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in the of 5000 block of W. 69th Ave. with auto-aid from Adams County Fire Rescue. Engine 1 arrived on scene to a two-story residential structure with smoke showing and flames showing from the Charlie side of the roof, and pulled a 1/34 line and make entry for fire attack. Engine 2 arrived and pulled a second line off Engine 1 with Medic 2, Truck 2 assisted Engine 1 with fire control and primary search. Battalion 1 arrived and assumed command on the Alpha-Bravo corner with smoke showing from roof in the offensive strategy, and assigned SAM 1 as Safety. Engine 3 assigned utilities, Medic 1 as medical and Engine 4 worked the exterior fire on the Charlie side with a 2 1/2. The fire was extinguished and put under control at 16:25, and all searches found no victims inside the home. The fire was contained to the attic and back side of the house, and crews worked overhaul with opening walls and eaves to expose any remaining fire. No injuries and the cause is under investigation.
