On September 25th, 2021 at 14:42 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on S. Buckley Rd. at E. Dorado Dr. Battalion Chief 5 arrived on scene and determined a vehicle ran off the northeast corner of the intersection, crashed through a large brick wall and struck the corner of a residence in the 16900 block of E. Dorado Dr. One occupant of the vehicle was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and had to be towed from the scene. A large brick wall marking the entrance to “The Hills at Piney Creek” sustained heavy damaged and slowed the vehicle before it could strike the building. No structural damage was reported to the residence and the Arapahoe County Sheriff is investigating the accident.
