Tech Rescue Training Academy

Arvada Fire Protection District Station 5 and Station 2 conduced Tech Rescue Training (TRT) Academy over the last few months for all of their crews. The past week’s topic was trench rescue for all crews. This training included collapse and recovery scenarios. Firefighters trained with shoring and tools that are used in the rescue and recovery operations. Mannequins were used to ensure that none of the firefighters were injured during the training scenarios. AFPD is part of the North Area Technical Rescue Team.
