Learn The Sounds of Fire Safety

The Aurora Fire Rescue and Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control hosted the Fire Prevention Week campaign “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety” in Aurora at the Municipal Center parking lot on October 9th, 2021.  The public came out to learn about Fire Prevention Week, with displays that included several fire engines and rescues, side by side live burn demonstration by National Fire Sprinkler Association Rob Geislinger, appearances from Fire Chief Fernando Gray and Mayor Mike Coffman on Fire Safety and Prevention and Colorado Fire Prevention and Control Director Mike Morgan with Fire and Life Safety Section Chris Brunette. This years informational booths included various Colorado professionals such as Aurora Fire Rescue Recruiting and Car Seat Safety, American Red Cross, Aurora Public Library, Aurora Public School, and Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control with smoke alarms.
