Aurora Attic Fire

At 14:11 on September 8th, 2021 Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 2800 block of S. Danube St. in the Seven Hills neighborhood. Aurora 911 Emergency Communications advised that 911 caller reporting porch on fire and smoke showing from the attic, and the call was upgraded to a working fire. Engine 10 arrived to a two-story single-family dwelling with smoke showing from the Charlie side and pulled a line in for fire attack on tank water. Engine 9 arrived and assisted with the water supply to Engine 10, and pulled an attack line in and checked for extension in the attic. Battalion Chief 2 arrived and assumed command, and assigned Ladder 6 with primary search. Crews got the fire under control around 15:00 and started overhaul. One Aurora Police Officer on scene was evaluated and released by medical. The fire is under investigation. Additional information provided by Aurora Fire Department
