Aurora Second Alarm Fire

On August 26th, 2021 at approximately 22:55 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at the Sable Cove Condominiums, 932 S. Dearborn Way. Engine 4 arrived on scene and found heavy fire coming from a second floor condo. A second alarm was quickly dispatched. Firefighters were able to control the fire within about ten minutes and the second alarm was released. Crews were on scene about an hour mopping up hot spots and ventilating the residence. Nobody was home at the time of the fire, no injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation. Firefighters were able to rescue a cat from the residence and turned it over to a neighbor for safekeeping.
