Aurora Structure Fire

On November 15th, 2021 at approximately 12:40 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 2604 S. Laredo St. Engine 6 arrived on scene and found heavy smoke coming from a single family residence. Crews extinguished the fire quickly and spent about an hour on scene checking for extension and conducting overhaul. Two people were transported by ambulances to a local hospital for evaluation and an Aurora police officer was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
