Commercial Structure Fire

On August 8th, 2021 around 18:00 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported commercial structure fire at Stor-N-Lock Self Storage, 370 S. Potomac St. near I-225 and Alameda. Responding units could see dark smoke coming for the area and found active fire on the roof upon arrival.  Firefighters set up two aerial units and spent about 30 minutes battling the blaze. Crews were on scene another hour mopping up hotspots, checking for extension and ventilating the building. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
