Centennial Garage Fire

On April 3rd, 2021 at approximately 00:40 South Metro Fire Rescue and Aurora Fire Rescue were dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 5526 S. Ireland St. in Centennial. Engine 23 arrived on scene and found heavy smoke coming from the garage of the residence. Firefighters were able to cut through the garage door and extinguish the fire fairly quickly. Units were on scene about an hour mopping up hot spots and ventilating the building. Medics treated one occupant at the scene and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
