South Metro Boat Recovery
On June 22nd, 2021 approximately 07:45 South Metro Fire Rescue and Colorado State Park Rangers returned to Cherry Creek State Park to recover a boat that had caught fire and sunk the day before in the Cherry Creek Reservoir. Firefighters and Park Rangers spent the better part of the morning raising the craft with inflatable bags and maneuvering it to a waiting tow truck at the east boat ramp. Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials are investigating the initial incident.
