Denver House Fire

At 13:32 on August 24th, 2021 Denver Fire Department responded to a possible structure fire in the 5700 block of N. Gray St. Engine 17 arrived to a single-family single-story with smoke showing, laid in from W. 52nd Ave. & Gray St. and pulled a line for fire attack, and Truck 12 started primary search. Engine 7 worked on Engine 17’s plug, and Engine 9 laid in a 2nd supply line from Clear Creek Dr. and pulled a back up line to the back of the structure. Chief 2 arrived and assumed command on the Alpha side, and assigned Rescue 1 to the roof. Crews worked heavy fire which extended into the attic space before getting the fire under control. The home was unoccupied when crews arrived and no injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation for the cause. Additional information provided by Denver Fire Department.
