Lower Valley Garage Fire

At approximately 14:56 on June 3rd, 2021 Lower Valley Fire District was toned for structure fire in the 900 block of E. Ottley Ave. A second engine was dispatched mutual-aid from Grand Junction Fire Department. Engine 31 arrived to single story detached a garage with a working fire and pulled an 1 3/4 line for fire attack. Engineer 31 hand-jacked the 5 inch supply line back to the hydrant and Engine 5 picked up the connection upon arrival. The fire was knocked fairly quick and the mutual-aid engine was released shortly after arrival. The cause is unknown and no injuries were reported.
