Grand Junction Furnace Malfunction

At approximately 19:38 on February 22nd, 2021 Grand Junction Regional Communication Center dispatched Grand Junction Fire Department Engine 3, Ambulance 3, and a commercial structure compliment to an unconfirmed commercial structure fire at the Valvoline, 2460 and 2460 1/2 Hwy. 6 & Hwy. 50 for smoke inside the building and smoke coming from the roof, no flames seen. Engine 3 arrived to a single-story commercial structure with steam showing from the roof and started the investigation as Valvoline Command, slowing everyone to Code 2. Ambulance 3 arrived staged east awaiting assignment. Ambulance 1 arrived and staged east awaiting assignment. Truck 1 arrived and level one staged at the hydrant. Engine 3 located a malfunctioning oil furnace and picked up the balance. There was no fire and crews went available.
