On June 17th, 2021 at 08:17 South Metro Fire Rescue and Denver Fire Department responded to a expanded vehicle accident that was then elevated to a motor vehicle accident that was requiring heavy extrication at E. Union Ave. & S. Yosemite St. in Greenwood Village. Tower 32 arrived on scene to find a large utility truck with a boom that rolled into a pickup truck, which trapped the occupant. Both departments requested their heavy rescues to assist in the extrication, to stabilize the boom utility truck including hazards with an active fuel leak, which two attack lines were pulled. Crews were able to extricate two patients and both were transported to nearby hospitals with unknown injuries. Hazmat 38 was requested non-emergent due to leaking fuel.
