South Metro Vehicle vs Building

At 07:51 on July 4th, 2021 South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle accident involving a structure in the 5600 block of W. Hoover Pl. in Jefferson County. Engine 13 and Medic 13 arrived to a SUV that crashed through a fence and struck a small building at the Dutch Creek Pool. Paramedics treated an adult driver and passenger who were both transported to the hospital. The portion of the building that was damaged is used for storage and was unoccupied when the accident occurred. The Technical Rescue Team responded and stabilized the structure to prevent a collapse. Once the vehicle was removed by a tow truck, firefighters used vehicle extrication cutters to remove some of the metal fencing that was impaled in the vehicle.
